Libraries: Offers print and digital course reserves services free to faculty and students.
Text: Requested books are placed on reserve at circulation desks; assigned articles, book chapters, and related course material can be posted and delivered electronically on a protected course reserves (ERes) web page.
Audio: High quality music files for course reserves can be made available 24 hours a day through the Music Library's Digital Audio Reserves (DAR).
Images: Digital Image Reserves are available to UCSD faculty through the ARTstor Digital Library. ARTstor is available to faculty and students 24/7, on or off campus, via the proxy server.
Film/Video: The Film & Video Library provides an array of media reserve services including individual and group viewing with analog and digital options.
To request materials for reserve placement, submit complete citations (and original materials, as available and appropriate) via our web form or at a library service desk 4 weeks in advance of the instructional quarter. All requested materials, regardless of format, will be reviewed for compliance with copyright laws and fair use guidelines before processing. Requests that exceed copyright or licensing fees may be referred back to the requestor or declined.
